Location on your System
The user can choose the location on his hard disk where the package is to be kept; the default location is 'C:\AviaDBM', with subfolders 'DB50', 'BIN', 'BATCHES', 'DOCS' and 'AUTO'. Because most programs are interdependent, the installation can only be performed by obtaining a Full Download.
A program which performs Downloading, Uploading, and Listing of User, Route, Almanac, Track, and Proximity Databases, and Uploading of Aviation Databases using the serial interface. Where possible, these operations take place at up to 115,200 baud.
A version of GPS_COM which uses the USB instead of a serial port (provided your unit has a USB socket). The program also handles uploading of VRP, Obstacle, Terrain, AOPA, and SafeTaxi data.
A program for writing updates onto an SD Card for use with a GPSMAP 695 or 696, as an alternative to GPS_USB.
For models 96, 96C, 195, 196, 295, 296, 396, and iQue3600a, this program decodes Aviation Image files, placing the data in an ISAM database where it can be worked on by the database manager GPS_DBM. All sections of the image file may be listed, and a new image file may be created from the data in the ISAM database. Batch Updates may be created from existing image files, or by the user from other sources, and applied to the ISAM database using this program.
A version of GPS_GEN specifically for the GPSMAP 696, 695, and Aera. This is necessary because the whole image is a completely different format.
A version of GPS_GEN specifically for the GPSMAP 496 and 495. This is necessary because all the records in the image have been changed so that increased memory sizes can be employed.

This is the ISAM database manager, allowing Adds, Changes, and Deletes to the APT, RWY, FRQ, INT, NDB, and VOR sections of the aviation data, and to USR and RTE files. Routes can be created/changed using any of the five types of waypoint in a near drag-and-drop way.
A program for listing VRP, Obstacle, and AOPA data. It may also be used to create Batch Format files of Obstacle or VRP data for earlier units which cannot handle the raw data. The batches are dumped for re-input as INTs with idents constructed from the obstacle heights or VRP name
A simple utility for direct viewing of the ISAM data files in subdirectory 'db50'.
A simple utility for extracting all sections from an awp or taw file.
A program for converting Airways definitions written in TNP format into text suitable for inclusion in an SUA text file prior to compiling it ready for the creation of a new image.
This program identifies and removes duplicate sections in multiple text files, based on the section delimeters "APT", "SUA", "FSS", and "TCC". It is intended for use on files produced using the SaveAs facility in GEN programs.
All the GEN programs and RemDups can be run in 'automatic' mode using parameters held in a Control File. AutoGEN will create all the files necessary to generate a whole-world ISAM database and allow the user to make a new image for a geographical area of his choice.
Flarm® collision avoidance equipment is widely used by glider pilots and many powered aircraft to indicate the presence nearby of similarly equipped aircraft. Advanced in-cockpit displays require a database of known IDs and some extra information. There are many sources of this information, and none contain a complete set of registrants, so FlarmDBM is provided to merge, edit, and list these files before creating a customized version for your particular equipment.
Clearly the greatest advantage comes from combining the databases of Flarmnet and Glidernet, but the addition of local knowledge is also of considerable value.
A tool used in the production of 8.33khz channel display in units prior to the G696. It is written in the "Perl" language so the source code can be viewed and modified, but does require the installation of a Perl Interpreter package. See document "Displaying 8.33khz Channels".
